Carl Byington is an Atlanta, Georgia-based entrepreneur and engineer, who provides consultation services for prognostics and health management (PHM) analytics and engineered Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) solutions through his company, PHM Design, LLC (Ellijay, GA).  Prior to founding his company, Carl worked for Sikorsky Aircraft, Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, and was an owner of Impact Technologies, LLC. Carl was also a Department Head at the Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Lab in State College, PA (We ARE!) and a rocket scientist at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. 

Carl is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and George Washington University with Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering degrees.
